Job Description

The Opportunity 

Havas Singapore is seeking an enthusiastic HR Intern to join our team and provide invaluable support to our HR department. Your role will involve performing a variety of administrative tasks, including updating employee records, screening resumes, and scheduling interviews.

This internship offers an excellent opportunity to gain firsthand experience in HR operations and gain insight into our company’s approach to recruiting and employee development.

As an HR Intern, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth running of our HR policies and procedures. Your attention to detail and organizational skills will be utilized in maintaining accurate employee records and assisting with various HR-related activities.

We are currently seeking candidates who can commit full-time for a minimum of 4-6 months from January 2024. 

 

What you’ll do:

  • Update our internal databases with new employee information, including contact details and employment forms
  • Gather payroll data like leaves, working hours and bank accounts
  • Screening of resumes and application forms
  • Schedule and confirm interviews with potential candidates
  • Post, update and remove job ads from job boards, careers pages and social networks
  • Prepare HR-related reports as needed (like departments’ training budgets)
  • Address employee queries about benefits (like number of remaining vacation days)
  • Review and distribute company policies in digital formats or hard copies
  • Participate in organizing company events and career fairs
  • Prepare and proofread HR documents including employee handbooks and user guides
  • To liaise and arrange meetings when required
  • Handle employee requests through responsiveness, follow-up, or escalation to a senior team member if necessary
  • Any other ad-hoc duties

 

What you’ll need

  • Degree/Diploma in Human Resource Management, Business Management, or any HR/Business related field
  • Personable, able to comfortably and pleasantly deal with a variety of people
  • Problem solving capabilities necessary to accomplish the duties and tasks of the position
  • Exceptional written and oral communication skills
  • Excellent organizational and planning skills; detail oriented
  • Ability to work independently and multitask
  • Ability to effectively learn and acquire new knowledge and skills
  • Ability to work in a strong team-oriented environment
  • Proficient in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and email
