Founded in 2003, Halogen Foundation Singapore is an Institution of a Public Character (IPC) charity focusing on building young leaders and entrepreneurs. Defining leadership and entrepreneurship as influence, Halogen Foundation believes that every young person has innate potential to influence and lead, becoming positive change-agents. Job Description

Are you looking for a fulfilling internship that provides opportunities for real contribution, promotes a culture of growth and development, and makes a difference to the community and youth through meaningful work? We are looking for Interns for a minimum of 3 months!

Halogen Foundation aims to inspire and influence a generation of young people to lead themselves and others well, and we take that mission seriously with our interns as well. Being young leaders themselves, our interns actively co-create and deliver the impactful work that reaches our stakeholders, under supervision by and collaborating with staff members who make it their personal goal to invest time and effort to mentor them.

You will be engaged in an onboarding session to orientate you as you embark on your journey with us, and one-on-one sessions with your mentors as you set goals and expectations which will be assessed throughout the internship. We are looking for people who are team players, progressive thinkers and can communicate their ideas with passion. If you are someone who wants to make a difference and you have that positive mindset of an open and inquisitive mind, this internship is for you!

Responsibilities in different roles*

  • Being involved in the development and curation of leadership and entrepreneurship programmes for youths
  • Managing multiple projects and schedules to enhance the programmes and operations of the team
  • Incubate new business initiatives and perform basic market research and business intelligence activities
  • Conducting due diligence on business development meetings and networking contacts
  • Attend events and network with established leaders in the public and private sector

(*Responsibilities would differ in the role selected from the following departments: Academy, Special Projects, Communications, Corporate Office, and Management.)

Requirements

  • Able to commit a minimum of 3 months, on a full-time 5-day work week basis (This internship also accepts 6-month engagements)
  • A current student or fresh graduate (There is no preferred course of study)
  • Proactive with a strong sense of ownership
  • Good command of the English language, both written and spoken
  • Passionate in youth development and our agency as people who can build the future of Singapore, putting people above all else
