Full-Time Software Engineer
About The Job
As GroupStar’s software engineer, you will help drive the company forward. The software engineer has full responsibility for all IT matters (idea generation, developments, fixes, coordination) and works hand-in-hand with the business team, the CEO and manages other developers. Project management: You’re comfortable juggling between, FE, BE, infra or business topics and managing other developers
Technical Skills required: Full stack developer (Postgres, Express, ReactJS, NodeJS, Azure, GitHub)
General Responsibilities :
- Be the “go-to” person for all IT-related topics or issues
- Manage remote developers and and work with part-time Head of Product
- Manage Backend APIs and FE
- Lead GitHub and Trello
- Site management (investigate, fix, test, deploy)
- Infra (Microsoft Azure)
Some things you’ll work on:
- Develop and maintain the online video project management and storyboarding engine for backend (Azure), front end (Browser) and mobile.
- Work with motion designers, business team and CEO to develop new product features.
- Decompose complex problems then implement solutions that fit the unique constraints for each platform.
- Work with CEO and designers to prototype motion and interaction design into something that can be described and implemented.
- Improve, simplify, and strengthen existing code.
- Find ways to improve the product and company.
About You:
- Familiar with the startup industry and/or work experience in a startup is a major plus!
- 3+ years of software implementation experience
- 2+ years for scrum master experience
- Experience in core project management disciplines including scope, schedule, budget, quality, along with risk and critical path management
- Manage software implementation projects, including providing full project management, creation and maintenance of implementation documentation and tracking timelines and deliverables
- Able to code
- Must be well organized and able to work effectively under time pressure
