Company Profile

GovInsider is a platform for government officials across Asia, interviewing permanent secretaries, government ministers, city mayors and senior officials. Our mission is to support governments and help them serve their citizens better. We showcase their successes, case studies and insights to a regional audience, fostering collaboration and allowing countries to learn from one another. Since 2015, GovInsider has had over 2.8 million government readers.

Our vision for 2020 is to help build solutions to knotty problems, be a platform for partnerships on public sector innovation, and an engine for growth in the region. We have been interviewed by Forbes on how we work with governments across the world.

We partner with the United Nations to run summits bringing together innovators from around the world to discuss public service delivery in the 21st century. Our events unite the public and private sectors to build relationships, learn from each other, and create solutions.

We partner with education institutions, including University College London, Lee Kuan Yew School of Public Policy, and Yale-NUS College, to provide skills and platforms for budding journalists and policy professionals to understand the pressing needs of public service delivery.

Job Description

Requirements

You need to be driven, enthusiastic and fascinated by the work of public sector officials. Our readers include Prime Ministers and Chief Executives, so attention to detail is vital. It is also essential that you are willing to experiment, learn new skills and continually expand our readership.

GovInsider runs as a startup, so we are looking for motivated self-starters who take responsibility and push themselves.

We are part of a multinational events company, Clarion Events, so there are opportunities to grow professionally within a large, well-funded organisation.

  • Transcribe interviews
  • Write breaking news stories
