Giftionery International – Digital Marketing Intern

1. Internship Description

This position works directly with the Digital Marketing Director to develop strategy frameworks and analytical processes for the company and interfaces with the Digital Marketing Manager and team.

Giftionery International is a digital first company that sells corporate gifts, stationery and other products to both the B2B and B2C market through multiple online e-commerce channels. We are a company with nearly 25 years of history but run like a start up by a young and dynamic team. Our business model is Factory to Consumer e-commerce where we own and operate the entire supply chain from product sourcing and development to direct online sales with no middlemen.

We employ the latest digital tools and software for high performance and productivity in areas like inventory management, omni channel digital marketing, e-commerce, marketplaces and data analytics.

This role will train the applicant to have the necessary skillsets to set up, run a complete multichannel digital marketing strategy focused on e-commerce and analyse paid and unpaid digital marketing channels, content marketing, promotional campaigns and digital funnels.

2. Specific Responsibilities / Internship Training Scoope

Market Intelligence / Competitive Analysis

1. Maintain current knowledge of industry / category trends and best digital marketing / e-commerce practices; make recommendations to improve current programs & processes.
2. Keep up to date with competitor intelligence (Digital presence & activity, promos, etc.)

Customer Segmentation and Strategy

1. Develop and prioritize customer segments
2. Develop detailed marketing plans for each segment

Lead Generation / Performance Marketing (Google & Facebook)

1. Support the paid digital marketing efforts of the team (Google Ads, Facebook)
2. Work on SEO – keyword research, onsite SEO, etc

Content Marketing / Social Media 

1. Develop a content plan / campaigns where and when necessary, including for special occasions and non-discount promotions
2. Plan, create and post content

4. Education Qualifications: Min Degree in Marketing, Business, Communications or equivalent. Specialist qualifications /diploma in Digital Marketing preferred
