We're a small, agile team backed by expert talents on a mission: we want everyone to be able to get whatever they need for gaming while being able to support their favourite content creators. That's why we're building our very own spin-off called OhMai to bring people and content creators closer together. OhMai is an early-stage social commerce platform and we are looking for a UI/UX Intern to make this come to life and create stunning experiences for our users. You'll be an essential part of the team, taking ownership to create interactions and visual elements that impact the lives of many content creators!

Job Description

What you will be doing (in a nutshell):

  • Be heavily involved in the product design process from ideation to testing with real users
  • Develop high-fidelity user interface mockups and prototypes based on insights
  • Prepare and present drafts to internal teams and key stakeholders
  • Identify and troubleshoot UX problems, proposing solutions and implementing them
  • Conduct adjustments based on feedback, but knowing when to push back when you know your data is right
  • Primarily involved in the design process, creating UX flows, and shipping features on your own with guidance
  • Work closely with our product owners and engineering teams in Singapore and Indonesia

Ideally, these should describe you pretty closely:  

  • You are currently studying in a recognised university or polytechnic, preferably in a design or IT major (e.g. graphic design, visual communications, computer science) or related diploma/degree
  • You have a keen eye for design with strong visual design skills
  • You are proficient in at least one mainstream design or prototyping/wireframing tools (e.g. Figma, Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Experience Design, Adobe Photoshop, Protopie)
  • You feel comfortable and enjoy working in a fast-paced, dynamic, startup environment
  • You are independent and you like autonomy when given a task to work on
  • You are able to communicate your ideas and suggestions clearly
  • You are detail-oriented and practical, but you can also think abstractly
