Job Description

Job purpose:

You will assist the Global Advisory Chefs (Bakery and Hot Kitchen) to ensure smooth operation of the Global application / solution kitchen as well as to provide support on selected application projects and to conduct technical sales calls with customers. You will be responsible for the preparation of quality food in a timely, efficient, sanitary and consistent manner within a fast paced and highly pressured environment. You should be a team player who excels in a dynamic workplace, able to follow all safety procedures and have a high threshold for heat and to work long hours in a kitchen environment.


Responsibilities:

• Assist consultant chef while visiting customer’s outlet.

• Introduce Anchor products by using a mini detailer to potential customers. 

• Organize recipe contents by making sure all recipes are in a standard format and by assorted categories. 

• Assist Global Chefs in various product testing exercises and trainings.

• Responsible for daily kitchen operations. 

• Prepare all food items as directed in a sanitary and timely manner. 

• Follow recipes and presentation specifications as set by the Global Chefs.

• Prepare mise-en-place as instructed by Global Chefs

• Ensure food quality inspection and food safety before serving.

• Assist with cleaning, sanitation and organization of the kitchen in accordance to Fonterra policy

• Perform related duties and special projects as assigned by Global Chefs.

• Keep a close watch on energy consumption such as electricity, gas and water.

• Monitor safety and repair of all kitchen equipments.

• Proper control of waste and leftovers. 

• Take the initiative to address gaps or shortcomings with the help of Global Chefs.


Qualifications & Desired Skills:

• Preferably a Degree in Pastry or minimum a Diploma in Pastry 

• Good command of English (written & verbal) and proficiency in a second language (Chinese/ Bahasa) preferred

• Strong initiative in completing tasks 

• Excellent communication & presentation skills 

• Proficient with Microsoft Office including MS PowerPoint, MS Excel and MS Word

• Organization & priorisation skills with the ability to plan and self-organize

• Those with a marketing background will have an added advantage

1) Start date will be on 13 June 2022.

2) Only students who are able to commit for the entire period of internship from 

13 June to 31 December 2022 will be considered. 

3) For a non-credit bearing internship, the selected student will be required to apply for a “Leave of Absence” to complete this internship.
