We are looking for energetic and detailed oriented test engineer who will drive our quality control and quality assurance activities. You will be responsible for enabling product management and developers to achieve our functional and non-functional quality goals by defining our test strategy as well as developing and operating our test engineering infrastructure. The Team is responsible for the quality of their features and hence need to ensure that their code is/stories are tested correctly and appropriately. The scope and way tests are carried out need to be jointly agreed by the Team while striving for a high degree of test automation using automated system, integration and unit tests.
1) Define and refine our test strategy to meet our quality goals.
2) Develop and operate the test engineering infrastructure for both manual and automated tests.
3) Be responsible for identifying bugs and communicating their business impacts to facilitate decision-making.
4) Be hands-on and perform functional and UI testing of features for release cycles, which includes creating/executing test cases, raising /tracking defects etc.
5) Conduct system performance testings to ensure system reliability, capacity and scalability.
6) Evangelize and promote a test-driven development cycle that incorporates QA and testing as an integral part of the planning and development process, to maintain the highest level of software quality.
Job Requirements:
1) Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in Information Technology, Computer Science/Engineering or related discipline,
2) 4+ years of experience in Testing and Test Automation roles Strong experience in testing Web, API applications Working knowledge in using API test tools such as Apache Jmeter, Postman.
3) Working knowledge of test automation tools such as Selenium, Cucumber.
4) Working knowledge with a good foundation in Algorithms and data structures.
5) Experience in database technologies e.g. SQL.
6) Experience in multiple coding and scripting languages and frameworks e.g. Java, React, JavaScript.
7) Good experience different testing methods or practices like Behavioral Driven Development (BDD), Test-Driven Development (TDD)
8) Good experience with Git source control skills
9) Good experience with Continuous Integration tools and processes
10) Attention to detail – ability to uncover details and think through undocumented use cases that can break the system
11) Passionate about technology, enjoys a technical challenge, and programs for fun.
