Job Description

Job Summary
We are looking for a Front-End Web Developer Lead who is motivated to combine the art of design with the art of programming. Responsibilities will include translation of the UI/UX design wireframes to actual code that will produce visual elements of the application. You will work with the UI/UX designer and bridge the gap between graphical design and technical implementation, taking an active role on both sides and defining how the application looks as well as how it works.


Responsibilities and Duties
Leads the implementation of significant frontend features Works with other teams to identify priorities for releases Assigns frontend engineers direction issues Identifies hiring needs for frontend group Interviews candidates for Frontend engineers positions Continues to spend part of their time coding Ensures that the technical decisions and process set by the CTO are followed Uses the contributor analytics to ensure that Frontend engineers that are stuck are helped Ensures quality implementation of design materials Prioritize frontend issues which lead to bad user experience Review of the merge requests made by Frontend engineers Delivers input on promotions, function changes, demotions and firings in consultation with the CEO, CTO, and VP of Engineering Defines best practices and coding standards for frontend group.


Required Experience, Skills and Qualifications
4+ years of experience in modern Frontend technology (ES6, React, CSS-in-JS) 2+ of experience managing a frontend or full-stack engineering team Experience with React and Redux is a requirement Commanding grasp of HTML, CSS, Javascript and related web technologies Awareness of cross-browser compatibility issues and client-side performance considerations.
