Our award winning dessertbar has been in operations for almost 13 years now. We were one of the first to create, inspire and continue to innovate in the world of pastry and desserts. Helmed by celebrated local chef Janice Wong, the restaurant continues to thrive with the newly launched high tea program and seasonal menus. Were a tight knit team and work hard towards providing a quality experience to all our guests.

Job Description

Food & Beverage Internship. 

Come and experience working at an award winning dessert bar in Holland Village - 2amdessertbar. The candidate will be fully immersed in the operations and customer service of the restaurant. Everything from greeting guests, seating them, taking orders and explaining our intricate dishes and pairings to them. You will also learn how our reservation system works, handing customer calls and learning about our dishes.

JOB SCOPE 

• Responsible for handling food and beverage orders and serving guests.

• Provide friendly, excellent service to all guests. 

• Assist fellow Team Member to perform preparation and setting up in the restaurants for food service and ensure all available amenities and utensils are properly stocked and inspected prior to service.

• Able to work in a fast pace environment.

• Inspect the cleanliness and presentation of all equipment 

• Maintain cleanliness of work areas throughout the day, practicing clean-as-you-go procedures.

• Ensure uniform is clean and professional, maintain confidentiality of proprietary information, and protect company assets.

• Welcome and acknowledge all guests according to company standards.

• Develop and maintain positive working relationships with others, support team to reach common goals. 

 

To successfully fill this role, you should maintain the attitude, behaviours, skills, and values that follow: 

• Currently studying or graduated from Business / Hospitality related disciplines, interested in F&B operations: 

• Able to work under pressure with good time management skills. 

• Able to work well independently and be a team player too. 

• Creative, focused and attentive with a keen eye for detail. 

• Good written and verbal communication. 

• Organized and self-disciplined.
