Job Description

Job Title: Business Development Intern

Job Type: Internship

Reports To: Guillaume Castagne, Co-founder and CEO / business development team

Location: Tanjong Pagar, Singapore

Role Purpose: We’re looking for an ambitious and dynamic graduate or undergraduate to support building COVE’s supply of co-living spaces.

Core Responsibilities:

• Pre-qualification - strata properties: Build Cove’s top of funnel for new strata properties, using efficient prospecting process

• Outreach - strata properties: Give calls or send emails to all prequalified opportunities and introduce them to Cove model. Collect initial info about the property and schedule a viewing / property evaluation.

• Collaboration - strata properties: Assess properties and make sure all information is property collected. Get feedback for management and use financial model to evaluate property economics. Decide whether to go ahead and draw the appropriate steps and conditions for on-boarding new properties.

• Communication - strata properties: Follow up with potential partners after property evaluation and proceed based on the appropriate steps and conditions necessary for on-boarding. Present offers and terms to partners for deals. Manage a negotiation process with partners taking into account specific conditions. Submit contracts and close deals.

• Opportunity assessment and underwriting – whole buildings / bulk deals: Evaluate the deal, create the financial projections (revenue and cost), with internal teams esp. ID, marketing, operations etc. and make final recommendations to company management

Experience and Qualifications Required:

Essential

  • Bachelor degree in business or real estate
  • Strong financial acumen and Excel modeling skills
  • Strong interest in the real estate sector and its new trends

Preferred

  • Knowledge of laws and regulations governing Singapore Real Estate 
  • Real estate network in Singapore
