Summer Internships/Part time Internships

This is a learning/coaching internship program. There might not be any actual work during the first part of the internship. Candidates will be placed through a funnel of topics and be trained in various areas and outstanding candidates will be chosen to be further exposed to more sophisticated areas 

Upon shortlist, candidates will expect to be taught on Part I and Part II

Part I
- Exposure to Fund Manager: Actual fund manager who focuses on portfolio constructions and alternative investment (low volatility) will train/share with the interns on investment hedging/investment objectives/techniques/philosophy. Candidates will also be exposed to the concept of private equity from an economist, including models and structures

- Candidates will be introduced to the topics of Wealth management including its compliance features. Compliance officers from banking & finance industries will share with interns on the various and common guidelines used in the compliance industry of MNCs. This will benefit students who wish to pursue a career in compliance in the future 

- Candidates will be exposed to sophisticated areas such as business trusts and inter-vivo trusts,and their use in private wealth management 

Part II
- Candidates will understand the operations and guidelines of an events company, including the use of materials which are protected by intellectual property laws

- Candidates will understand the operations and guidelines of a marketing company, including common guidelines and the use of common marketing tools. Candidates who specialize in marketing/have an interest in marketing might be placed to brainstorm and form marketing campaign targeted at specific audiences

- Candidates who are in year 3 of undergraduate law program may be helping out form an acquisition model of using estate planning as tools

Only selected candidates will go to part III, of which more indepth topics on private equities, IPOs and M&As are introduced by an investment lawyer. Details will be made known to those shortlisted. Candidates who partake in part III will not get exposed to any actual work , but will only take on these topics on a seminar/consultation basis with an Investment lawyer
