BN Advisory – Business Associate (Junior)

We are opening our internship program for Undergrads in SIM/SUSS/Kaplan. Students who specialize in Banking/Finance/Accountancy/Economics/Communications/Psychology may apply for our program.

1. Training by lawyers/Business associates

For the first part of the program, candidates are introduced to common business documentations used in organizations, which include Non-Disclosure Agreements, Partnership Agreements, Shareholder's agreements and etc. Training will also involve the use of commercial contracts, its enforceability and viability in different situations.

2. Training by Investment Lawyer 

Investments are a topic of interest for many in today's context. Our trainer, who has amassed more than 20 years of experience in corporate and investments, will share with the interns on the use of private equity investments. Specializing in areas of IPO, M&A and private equities, our lawyer will share the common topics and investments scenarios. This will enhance the candidate's knowledge of Investment Banking topics (IPO,M&A, Venture Capital, Equity Market)

3. Training by Investment Manager

An investment specialist who has amassed more than a decade of experience in low volatility and alternate investments, our investment associate will train the interns on how to read investment charts and share the common strategies used by fund managers in investments. The owner of an boutique investment firm, who is also an Economist by training and an adjunct professor in private equity, will train the interns and introduce the concepts of portfolio management.

4. Training in regional business markets

Candidates are introduced to regional markets such as Japan and Cambodia business cultures. Zoom meetings will also be conducted with our business counterparts there to understand on business etiquette and presentation techniques used in the business world regionally

5. Digital Marketing and Mortgage Banking Solutions

Candidates will be introduced to digital marketing, including brand activation and personal branding topics during this phase. Trained by a marketer who has amassed years of experience in lecturing positions, we are confident that interns will undoubtedly pick up skills during this period of time where E-commerce and digital marketing may be necessary and vital. Candidates will also go through mortgage banking topics including TDSR and MSR Calculations

Work scope:

During the internship, candidates may be assigned the following job scopes depending on our observation on the strengths of the intern and the interests of the interns

i) Provide support and come up with marketing campaigns for our marketing arm

ii) Interview walk in clients (digitally) on their business cases. If an individual who wants to consult our legal counsel for purpose of writing a lasting power of attorney or a SME owner who wishes to consult our legal counsel on business documentations or our tax lawyers on tax planning, to refer business case to lawyers

iii) To conduct research or client portfolio management

iv) To conduct research into marketing law including PDPA and spam control act

Requirements

a) Candidates must have already a diploma or A levels minimally

b) No experience is required as this is a training program with guidance provided

c) Certificates/Testimonials may be endorsed by different subject experts

d) Undergrads in SIM/SUSS/KAPLAN/SIM GLOBAL/UOB/UOL welcome
