Job Description

Responsibilities:

Processes patient-derived samples for cell culture and drug screening.

Manages Lab services for precision oncology services, research projects & partner Lab setup.

Manages Laboratory team including recruitment, training, resource planning, meeting, and performance reviews.

Maintains Laboratory quality by conducting and managing internal quality audit, external quality assessments (EQAs), proficiency tests (PTs), monthly quality controls (QCs) and Management Reviews.

Maintains Laboratory accreditations and licences including MOH PHMC, CAP, Hazardous Substances, and Fire Safety.

Manages Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS) for tracking samples, workflows, equipment, documentations, and reports.

Maintains Laboratory equipment including managing preventive maintenance, servicing and repair, and documentations.

Manages Laboratory inventory and purchasing.

Manages and reviews SOPs and documentations.

Oversees Laboratory Services businesses, costings, and P&Ls.

Maintains professional and technical knowledge through attending workshops, conferences, reading scientific journals and news, and professional associations.

 

Requirements:

University degree in the field of Biology or Life Sciences with at least 5 years’ experience in a clinical diagnostic laboratory.

Experiences in cell culture and/or drug screening processes.

Experience with next-generation sequencing processes will be an advantage.

Experiences in Lab accreditation (PHMC, CAP, ISO, etc) will be an advantage.

Experiences managing a Laboratory or a Team.

Knowledge in precision medicine and oncology.

Proficiency in the English language (verbal and written).

Proficiency in the Korean language will be an advantage.

Ability to analyse and present information, with excellent communication skills.

High degree of drive and initiative.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
