Job Description

Spintronic nano-devices are promising for memory and computing applications owing to their energy efficiency and stability at nanometer lengthscales. The ELE Dept in IMRE is leading the development of materials and prototype devices to achieve prototype concepts for next-generation computing. The fabrication and characterization of these nano-devices is a crucial component of such efforts. The candidate hired for the advertised role would:

1. Fabricate spintronic nano-devices using existing processes on a range of lithography and related tools;
2. Perform microscopy, electrical and magnetic characterization to check device properties, qualify processes, and improve device yield;
3. Develop new fabrication processes as needed to achieve required device designs and yields;
4. Assist in the computer-aided design (CAD) for device fabrication; and5. Assist in the setup and maintenance of device characterization facilities.

Job Requirements:
-Diploma Holder from any of the following (or related) disciplines: Electrical or Electronic Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial and Systems Engineering, Materials Science & Engineering, Common Engineering, Physics or Applied Physics
-Entry level candidates with a track record of the above mentioned are encouraged to apply
-Strong passion for learning
-Interest in electrical devices and cleanroom work
-Hardworking attitude and team player
-Prior experience in cleanroom work and materials characterization will be an advantage
