We are looking for a Content Editor / Manager to join our team. You will be responsible for the editorial creation workstream of many websites which include creating, improving and maintaining content to achieve our business goals.
Our ideal candidate is a self-starter, an experienced professional with proven content management and creative writing skills at an international level and excellent organisational skills. As a Content Editor / Manager, you should be detail-oriented, work independently with minimal supervision and perform well under deadlines.
You should also be able to oversee all business, branding and marketing content end-to-end initiatives from hiring, writing, editing, briefing, collation through to publishing to ensure customer engagement, brand consistency and a positive customer experience across the various media platforms.
Develop a group editorial calendar and content strategy aligned with short-term and long-term business, branding and marketing requirements
Work hand in hand with content, marketing and dev teams to plan and develop site content, style and layout:
Content team: Actively communicate with content managers, editors and writers about all aspects of the editorial calendar throughout the day.
Marketing team: Liaise with advertising account managers and social media managers about new campaigns and content ideas on a daily basis.
Dev: Quickly communicate with site technicians about any technical issues and work together with site designers and programmers to come up with the best content structure and layout for each individual site.
Hire and actively manage new content writers & editors on an ongoing basis
Work with writers & editors to produce content in various other languages
Conceptualize engaging content across all sites
Communicate new topics and changes to the editorial calendar with all writers and editors on a weekly basis
Edit, proofread and publish content according to the editorial calendar (occasionally)
Optimise content according to SEO
Develop and manage content distribution across various channels and/or media platforms to increase audience engagement
Ensure compliance with international and local publishing guidelines / laws (e.g. copyright and data protection)
Stay up-to-date with developments across various industries (i.e. finance, travel, lifestyle, sport) and generate new ideas / content to draw readers attention
ITE/Diploma certification, preferred in media studies, production or journalism
Minimum 3 years work experience as a Content Editor at an international level
Proven work experience of writing and publishing content in international publications
Familiar with content creation and management within the following industries being finance, travel, lifestyle, sport, food and technology
Hands on experience with Google Sheets, Google Docs and WordPress
Basic technical knowledge of HTML and web publishing
Knowledge of SEO and web traffic metrics will be added advantage
Familiarity with social media
Excellent writing skills in English
Attention to detail
Good organisational and time-management skills
