99.co is looking for an Android Engineer Intern to join our diverse team of people who are passionate about taking the real estate industry properly into the age of technology through innovation and a desire to solve its multitude of challenges.
What you'll do:
You will work closely with product managers and designers to help develop new features and improve designs
Support testing, maintenance and bug fixing
Improve the stability and performance of the app
Track down and resolve issues
Help team keep up with latest SDK, devices, tools and conventions
Help with any ad-hoc duties given
What you should have:
Background in Computer Science or Engineering preferred but not required
Experience with Android project, either in school or on your own hobby time
Good communication and interpersonal communications skills
A commitment of at least 6 months for the duration of the internship
What you will gain:
Knowledge in Java and Kotlin
Understanding mobile software lifecycle development
Experience in RESTful API and object-oriented design
UX/UI design exposure and experience in making apps work intuitively and with pixel perfect interfaces
Familiarity with android libraries such as Retrofit, Glide, Mockito, Espresso, Realm, Butterknife, Sqlite, Otto, Pusher
