Job Description

Events Executive

JOB SUMMARY:

Planner of small to medium scale events here at 1880. The Event Executive will sit within the events team and work alongside the other team members to produce a wide range of events from private and corporate dinners as well as the member focused events such as salon talks, wine tastings, screenings, themed parties and many more events.

This is a fast paced environment and a great role for a candidate looking to work across a variety of different events.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

● Book the calendar and assist to plan members' events held at 1880, inclusive of private and corporate hire, bookings. Support Event Manager with larger scale events.

● Develop and manage proposals and quotes/ budgets for clients

● Liaise with the duty managers on, F&B and operations for the events

● Contribute to content and event ideas for all types of events from F&B promotions and themed parties to more unique events capturing the passions of our members i.e. DJ classes

● Collaborate with the team on themes and installations for big events i.e. Chinese New Year

● Team player who enforces the company culture and works collaboratively and effectively with other 1880 teams, specifically operations and F&B.

● Maintain standards of practice for the booking systems, invoice systems and other event related processes

● Attend event operational meetings to ensure smooth running, working with the operational teams

● Share contacts and ideas, and problem-solve with the wider team when required

● Have great communication skills and experience establishing and developing productive relationships with colleagues, brands, agency teams and suppliers and have the ability to influence and interact at all levels.

● Ability to multitask and work in a fast paced environment, whilst being resilient and capable of managing stressful situations

● Have a good understanding of current and future trends, ensuring events remain appealing and competitive

REQUIREMENTS:

● 1-3 years’ experience within a similar role is advantageous

● Flexible to work occasional evenings and weekends including public holidays

● Strong communication skills

● Strong interpersonal skills and a ‘can do’ attitude

● Strong team player

● Ability to work and maximize relationships within a diverse team

● Strong proficiency in organization, problem solving and communication
